Define the seating areas in your home with an area rugs. If you have a smaller seating area and want your room to appear more spacious all you have to do is choose a lighter colored area rug.  If you go with a darker color it could make your room seem more intimate. If you have a large seating area with more than one area rug you should make sure that the colors of each of the rugs are harmonized. They do not have to be the same color.

Perfectly good carpet is sometimes taken out of the home because hardwood or laminate flooring is being installed. Other times a new owner moves into a house and the carpet color just doesn’t work for them. If the carpet is clean and in good condition, it works out great for cutting down into area rugs. Even if there is some damage to parts of the carpet, we can work around the damaged area.

The sales people at the carpet store or outlet are familiar with creating area rugs, so they’ll be able to arrange cutting and binding. That will cost an additional fee, but you’ll find that it’s still much lower than buying a pre-made area rug. Then you can choose how to finish your large area rug (if you don’t finish the edges, they will fray and look unsightly). The simplest way is either binding or serging the edges. These pieces can be cut and bound for use in high traffic areas, or make co-ordinating entry mats, kitchen mats or bathroom mats.  They can be cut to any size or shape, or we can seam the smaller remnants together to make useable pieces.
